The Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI) is an annual report focusing on a country’s ability to compete for talent in the global market. The 2017 report includes a ranking of 118 countries, the largest ranking yet, centring on each country’s capacity to grown, attract, and retain talent.
Each year has a theme, and studies different aspects of the global market. This 2017 study focuses on the impact that technology is affecting the nature of work and talent competitiveness. In addition, it aims to provide a tool-kit for governments, businesses, and non-profit organisations world-wide to help them to be competitive and achieve talent matches that are beneficial to everyone.
This index is beneficial to governments and employers because it can lend insight into what attracts talent and ways to boost the national economy. It is also useful to potential international workers because they can see what skills are seen as important for the global employee and the profile overview of different countries.
